MARIJUANA DUIS

It is likely that Nevada will pass recreational marijuana in the very near future, following several States such as Colorado. Be careful that your dreams come true and create a nightmare. Regardless of the medicinal benefits and freedom of choice, there are hidden dangers associated with the legal consequences of using marijuana. Not the least of the dangers is that it is unpredictable to determine if it is legally safe to drive. Even if a person is not impaired by marijuana, the legal 'limit' for marijuana is extremely low and not scientifically related to impairment. A frequent user of marijuana is likely to be over the limit every time the person drives although not under the influence at the time. There are severe penalties even for a misdemeanor DUI and devastating consequences if someone is injured or killed. The moral of the story is if a person chooses to use marijuana, the person should chose not to drive.
